Two Civic Heart community events will be held in downtown Tauranga this week for the community to discuss the proposed changes to Tauranga City Council's Long Term Plan.

The council will be at Red Square on Tuesday (tomorrow) from 12.15pm to 2pm and on Friday from 10.30am to 1pm as part of public consultation on creating Tauranga's civic heart.

The Red Square community event planned for June 29 was cancelled due to wet weather.

Elected Members and Council staff will also be at the following community events:
Papamoa Plaza, Wednesday July 6, 9am to 4pm
Fraser Cove (near The Warehouse), Thursday July 7, 10am to 2pm
Bethlehem Town Centre, Tuesday, July 12, 10.30am to 2pm
Public consultation closes 5pm Monday, July 18 2016.

Submissions can be made using the online submission form at www.tauranga.govt.nz/ltpa or by downloading the form from the same page. Hard copies of the Consultation Document and submission form are also available in Tauranga City Libraries and from Council's Customer Service Centre on Willow Street.
