Club helps RDA buy new mustang

The Bay of Plenty Mustang Owners Club chooses a local charity each year to donate a proportion of the profits of their annual show to. This year, the clubs committee has decided to support Tauranga RDA with nearly $1,000 to go towards the purchase of a much needed new therapy horse.

On Friday, a couple of Mustangs will be arriving at Tauranga RDA in rural Welcome Bay, and some riders will have the opportunity to be photographed on their horses next to the cars. While visiting, the Mustang Club will be presenting a cheque to RDA.

Tauranga RDA Chief Executive Officer Kat Macmillan said: "We are delighted that the Bay of Plenty Mustang Owners Club have decided to support us this year and our riders will be delighted to be able to ride up to the cars on their 'mustang horses' and have their photo taken. The donation from the Mustang club will help us to buy a new therapy horse for our ever expanding programs."

"We are keen to support such a worthy cause as Tauranga RDA and look forward to meeting some of their Mustangs and their riders when we present the cheque", said Bay of Plenty Mustang Owners Club President Grant Robbs.

In previous years the Mustang club has supported the Westpac Rescue helicopter and Surf Life Saving. People can watch Mustang cars in action at Wharapai Domain on 18th November from 10am to 2pm.
