Children of all ages took the chance to bounce around inside big inflatable balls at the weekend.
The Fruju Beachball Challenge hit Mount Dury, in front of Shark Alley, on Saturday and yesterday and gave anyone interested a chance to roll, bounce and do 360s inside the balls.
The set-upwill be heading to 15 hot-spot beach locations in the North Island throughout January and February, giving fun lovers in other areas the chance to play inside the giant balls.
Games were also organised inside an inflatable ball pit.
There were also free ice blocks for players and sweet giveaways for winning teams.
Ten-year-old Olivia Marlowe was excited when she first saw the balls, her mother Diane Marlowe said.
"We had our normal routine to head up the Mount, grab a coffee, get a Copenhagen Cone but she was busting to stop when she saw it [the Fruju Beachball Challenge]".
Gareth Jones, 11, was as equally as excited about the event when he saw it and took on the soccer challenge.Ruth Keber
