Cash stolen in robbery at Tauranga TAB

Police are trying to locate two men who allegedly stole cash from a TAB in Bethlehem and drove off in a stolen vehicle this afternoon.

A police media spokeswoman said police were responding to reports of a robbery at a TAB on State Highway 2 after receiving a call at 1.30pm.

"At this stage we understand two men have entered the premises and stolen a quantity of cash and left in a stolen vehicle," she said.

Police were actively trying to locate the men and were speaking to witnesses. Police CIB were also attending the scene.
