A car crashed into a power pole in Pāpāmoa overnight.

A police media spokeswoman said a car hit a power pole between McCallum Place and Parton Rd about 11.20pm yesterday.

The spokeswoman said the single vehicle hit a fence before crashing into a power pole.

"The caller suggested power was out in the street as well," she said. "We were speaking with the driver who called from the car."
