A car and a train have collided on a crossing near Paengaroa this morning.
Police were called to the scene near State Highway 2 and Wilson Rd South at 4.44am.
A police media spokeswoman said four passengers were in the car and no injuries were reported.
"The vehicle has been
moved off the track," the spokeswoman said.
The incident follows the death of a 32-year-old man who was hit by a train early yesterday morning.
