Boil water notice for flood victims

A notice to boil water has been issued for flood-affected areas.

Water needs to be boiled before drinking in Ruatoki, Te Teko, Edgecumbe, Awakeri, Onepu, Braemar and Thornton.

Toi Te Ora Public Health Service officials said to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute to make sure it was safe for drinking.
