The Elms has long been a favourite wedding venue for Tauranga lovebirds. This weekend the historic chapel will be decorated with floral wedding designs of yesteryear, as part of the Garden and Artfest.
Graceful pedestal designs, decorated pew ends and floral wreaths will decorate the chapel, which is in the groundsof one of New Zealand's earliest Mission stations.
Barbara Steele, chair of the sub-committee Friends of the Elms, is pictured with some of the arrangements. Entry is free and Friends of the Elms will welcome visitors with Devonshire teas and in a marquee decorated with floral blooms.
