Skegg was also quick to acknowledge the benefit of its Mount Maunganui location servicing a high-value residential property market which was evident by the office's average sale price of more than $1 million.
"The Mount Maunganui residential real estate market has seen phenomenal growth in property values over recent years and remains strong," he said.
"Demand has been driven by internal New Zealand migration, with buyers moving their equity into the Bay."
Skegg said the company had also identified a noticeable movement of people relocating within the region.
"Unlike other urban areas which have seen Tauranga's metropolitan boundaries extend in every direction, the Mount is geographically constrained," he said.
"There is a finite amount of land and home options available to the market. Quite simply, the supply is limited so when demand grows, so do the prices."
Bayleys Tauranga also won the Medium Rural Office of the year.
Simon Anderson, the chief executive officer of Realty Services which operates Bayleys, said further reflected the Bayleys Country teams' consistent performance over a number of years.
"Good leadership from Matt and with senior agents across our region ensures that Bayleys vendors properties are showcased and promoted to as wide an audience as possible to uncover every possible buyer for them to maximise their sale value," he said.
LINK Business Brokers Bay of Plenty general manager Steven Matthews was excited to see the company becoming renowned in the Bay of Plenty.
"It is such a huge acknowledgement to our exceptional team of business sales specialists for their outstanding results and dedication to uncompromising quality and service," he said.
Matthews said the company had a substantial database of buyers waiting for the right business opportunity which was a reflection of the number of inquiries received.
PGG Wrightson Real Estate's Bay of Plenty regional sales manager Mike McCullough said the office's sustained achievement was a team effort by an experienced collection of high performers.
"Horticulture plays an important part in our region, and we have several salespeople who achieve remarkable results marketing kiwifruit and avocado orchards," he said.
"Their strong professional qualities and ability to find solutions for the buyers and sellers of farms in our region are the basis of the ongoing success of this office."
Colliers International Tauranga managing director Simon Clark said the award was a "huge pat on the back" for the Tauranga team.
Clark said the recognition had proved to the team of six brokers and three support staff is achieving amazing results even on a national basis.
"Their success has come from having a highly trained group of people, with a great team culture where there is complete trust between all its members," he said.
"Usually 2 or 3 brokers are involved in every transaction completed by the company."
