The cause of a small fire in a bathroom wall is being investigated.
The occupant of a Rawhiti St home noticed the smell of smoke and called the fire brigade about 1.45am today.
Tauranga senior station officer Len Sabin said fire fighters from Tauranga and Greerton investigating the smell founda very small fire in a wall cavity in the bathroom.
There was no significant damage.
Fire investigators will be examining the scene to determine the cause today.
