Touch: Last week we had three of our four teams representing BC at the Domain in the SBOP touch module. BC Bob Cats (Seniors) lost 5-2 against a spirited senior team. Mixed Grill (mixed team) won their match against Brookfield New World 5-3. Dylan Downs-Hetet had a double and one of them on a long intercept ball. Year 12 boys, the BC Chargers won their match in a close contest 3-2 against Detox. A lot of skills displayed here. Our teachers' team had a bye.

Volleyball: Bay of Plenty Junior Secondary Schools volleyball round two was completed on Saturday. The Junior A boys' finished 5th in the Division one top 5 with losses to Western Heights A and Trident A. Both matches though showed that they can compete with the best. In the girls' division two top 5, there is a correction to the results as reported on the first round. The BC A girls won the Mount 2-1. In the second round, they beat Tarawera and Whaka A, to go undefeated and win top placing. Boys B lost to Otumoetai White but bounced back to beat Whaka 2-1 in the boys' division 1 second 5, placing them 1st in their division. In the girls' division 3 top 5, the girls had a mixed result, losing to Otumoetai 9B 1-2 sets in a close encounter, then won the afternoon match against Aquinas, gaining a 2nd place finish. In the girls' division 3 development challenge, they came in 6th equal losing both matches to Mauao A and Te Puke B.
