A flood of pink has washed over downtown Tauranga this evening as thousands of breast cancer survivors and supporters gathered for the annual Hot Pink Walk.
People of all ages were decked out in glamorous pink clothes and all manner of accessories: fairy wings, feather boas, hats and crazy wigs to make strides against breast cancer.
The walk is the flagship event to raise money for the Breast Cancer Support Service Tauranga Trust which porivded support for men and women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families.
Walkers are warming up with some Zumba before strutting their stuff on the costume stage.
Birds would be released and a moment of silence for those lost to breast cancer.
