Windsurfer in trouble off Kulim Park

Police have been called to Matua after a wind surfer got in trouble in the wild weather today.

A reporter at the scene said it appeared the the windsurfer struggled in the gusty wind so had dropped his sail and paddled back into shore.

The incident occurred about 200m off shore and thought the windsurfer would be able to stand up in waist deep water, he said.

There was one police car at the scene between Kulim and Ferguson Park.
