Sentencing for a convicted paedophile who committed a further raft of sexual crimes against three victims, including attempted rape of a teenage girl, has been referred to the High Court at Rotorua.
Bay man Trevor Richard Hall, who earlier pleaded guilty to 11 charges in Tauranga District Court, including sexual violation and assault against a boy aged 6-7 years at the time, will be sentenced on December 5.
He committed the second set of offences in the Eastern Bay of Plenty and the Coromandel between 1996 and 2010.
Hall's latest convictions comes on the heels of a 12-month home detention sentence handed down in Tauranga District Court in December 2012 for four counts of indecently assaulting a 7-year-old girl that same year.
Judge Thomas Ingran, who delivered his reserve decision yesterday, took into account two psychologist reports and Hall's health problems in deciding to decline jursdiction and transfer the matter to the High Court for sentencing.
