The 57th annual Tauranga Festival of Performing Arts wraps up this weekend with a ballet gala tonight featuring the top awards for the ballet section.
The 11 day festival has featured about 300 performers across singing, instrumentals, speech and drama, highland and national dance, ballet, tap dancing and modern dance.
The ballet gala tonight will feature the Legacy Trust major scholarship, nomination class for the national young performer of the year award and special awards.
Lily Cartwright from Christchurch will adjudicate the ballet section.
She started her training at Canterbury Ballet. During her first year of full time training she was a finalist in the National Ballet Awards held in Christchurch. She furthered her training at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York.
