Jade and Robbie Campion, parents of three children under 6 years old, are pleased to see doctors' visits will now be free for children up to the age of 13.
"I was pleasantly surprised that the Government had chosen to prioritise spending on families and children," Mrs Campion said.
The stay-at-home-mum said she would probably have thought twice about taking the kids to the doctor if she had to pay but would now not have to worry.
"It's good to see that they were going to extend the parental leave to give women those extra precious weeks to decide if they are going to go back to work. It's good to see early childhood education will be more affordable and more accessible. It gives parents options."
She was also pleased to see money had been committed to extending work programmes and getting new job initiatives going.
