Whitney Heta picked up a placard and took to the street to make her voice heard for the second time in her 16 years.
The Tauranga teenager marched up Devonport Rd with her mother and 8-year-old sister as part of Saturday's Aotearoa Not For Sale protest.
"It's just putting our point out openly just so we can be heard," Whitney said.
Mother Joyce Heta encouraged her daughters to go along to last year's march, their first protest, and they were eager to take part again.
"I wanted my children to come down and just to learn," she said. "For me, I just wanted to teach my children how important Aotearoa is to us because if our assets get sold to overseas buyers it might be detrimental to the children as well."
