An early morning worker who noticed a small fire on Hull Rd can be thanked for saving a timber finishing firm from potentially burning down early this morning.
The man, who was working next door to the finishing yard, called firefighters to the scene about 3.30am.
They found a small fire burning in sawdust not far from stored timber, believed to have started from an electrical fault.
The fire was quickly extinguished and a site manager assessed the scene to enure its safety.
