Arrest for threat to kill

A local man accused of arming himself with a hockey stick and threatening to kill another man in central Tauranga on Tuesday is behind bars.

Kori Lee Richard Taorei, 33, faced three charges when he appeared in Tauranga District Court yesterday.

They were for possession of an offensive weapon, behaving in a disorderly manner and threatening to kill.

Taorei was remanded in custody to next appear in court on August 8.
