A new location for Lotto's live draw has proved lucky for a Powerball player in Mt Maunganui who won $9.8 million on tonight's Lotto draw.
Broadcast from TVNZ in Auckland with presenters Jordan Vandermade and Aleysha Knowles, tonight's Lotto draw is only the second draw to take place in Aucklandfor over 20 years.
The winning ticket was sold at Mt Paper Power in Mt Maunganui.
This week's total Lotto Powerball prize of $9.8 million is made up of $9,355,737 from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.
Another Lotto player in Auckland is also celebrating tonight after winning a $500,000 share of First Division. The winning ticket was sold at Hillpark Superette and Lotto in Manurewa.
Strike was also won by a lucky player in Tauranga, who has won $479,069. The winning ticket was sold on NZ Lotteries online channel MyLotto, by a player in Tauranga.
