Papamoa Art Collective will be celebrating its eighth birthday with an exciting exhibition and art sale at Fashion Island - next to the Fashion Island Art Gallery-from tomorrow.
Each year the collective has an exhibition which enables members to display their work to the community.
The exhibition promises to be
a vibrant display of talent and at the same time an opportunity for emerging artists to gain confidence in their artistic journey.
The artists meet each Tuesday at Papamoa Library to share ideas and work on their art.
Collective co-ordinator Patrick Gibbons says the collective is very low key with few, if any, rules or regulations so as to put no pressure on any one in the group. "It's a very social and a fun bunch of people who all get on really well," he says. Group members also meet outside club hours for social events and coffee meetings.
