WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCATS?: The Swing Kittens perform with the Glen Miller Orchestra next week. Photo/supplied
The Chattanooga Choo Choo is blasting in to Tauranga next week when the Glen Miller Orchestra pulls in for a show.
The orchestra took the country by storm in 2013 with one of the largest international concerts in recent years and it's here on a whistle-stop tour to mark the
Anzac Centenary.
It will be performing all the favourite hits: Chattanooga Choo Choo, A String of Pearls, Moonlight Serenade and In The Mood, and this time round it has brought along The Swing Kittens, an upbeat vocal trio with tight harmonies and a youthful spin on classics from the Andrew Sisters, McGuire Sisters and Rosemary Clooney.
Also along for the ride is soloist Wendy Smith Brune, who has sung worldwide with Ray Charles and as backup for Michael Bolton, Sheena Easton, Chaka Khan, Gloria Estefan, Aaron Neville and Barry White.
