Mary Martin and Sue Buckland are friends who are both clairvoyant mediums who perform together in live stage shows in the Bay. Sue Buckland from the Mount and Mary Martin from Whakatane are friends who are both clairvoyant mediums. They have started to perform together in live stage shows in the Bay.

SUE ON MARY

Mary and I met in 2006 at a spiritual expo. She came across to me as person who speaks from her heart. Last Christmas I asked my guides what they had in store for me. An image of Mary came into my mind and a sense that we would be working together this year. We have already done two shows in Whakatane and we are doing our first big one here at Greers in Greerton.

In a live show I get told by my guides to give someone out of the audience a message. There was a time I got told by my guides to tell a woman that she would conceive a child soon. She had been told by her doctor that she could never have a baby. Not long after that night I heard from this lady and she told me she was pregnant.

I have always had the gift. As a child I remember being aware that people from the other side were around me. I used to tell my mother there was someone under my bed.

I was a counsellor for the Samaritans until at the age of 32 I developed a brain tumour and breast cancer and came close to death. Because I survived, I wanted to give something back to the community and that is when I began doing this work. I love working with Mary. We hope to do more live shows around NZ and beyond.

MARY ON SUE

When we met we had an immediate connection. Sue is an elegant, gifted medium.

I realise now that I have been a medium all my life. As I child I saw small fairy energies. As an adult I began to suffer migraines. I learned transcendental meditation and about the spirit world from a Maori perspective.

About 15 years ago, I returned to my home town Waiohau, and worked in a Maori healing clinic. There I honed my spiritual skills. The clinic uses traditional methods of healing such as karakia, plants and spiritual healing. People go there who the medical profession has given up on. A person came with an ulcerated leg that the doctor wanted to amputate and the clinic was able to cure it.

During the shows we do together we look for future direction for people using clairvoyant skills, or a connection to the spirits. I am always given proof of how they passed and their personality so I am able to say a few things to the person so that they know who I am talking about. Sometimes I am given someone's initial.

I cannot tell the lotto numbers, but I often see a sign if a person will have good fortune.
