The Laughing Samoans are back in town this weekend and they'll be keeping their comedy fresh with their latest laugh fest, 'Island Time'.
Eteuati Ete and Tofiga Fepuleai have been touring since 2003 and will keep the laughs coming by performing a series of skits that take Aunty Tala, Uncle
Sam, Paul and Victor, as well as their new friends, on a trip to explore the islands of the Pacific, including the North and South Islands.
Their shows are often sell-outs, and Ete puts this down to the fact they are family-friendly. "It's a rarity in comedy now where you can have kids and their parents going to a show. We have had three generations come to our show and it is a real joy to see kids bringing parents, and parents bringing kids and grandparents to our show," said Ete.
After 13 years of performing, what keeps The Laughing Samoans from going stale?
"Each show we do, we try to make it as good, if not better, than the previous show.
It is a good challenge and while it would be easy to become complacent, you are only as good as your last show. It is never taking your audience for granted," said Ete.
