Kristin and Chris Borchardt fell in love at yoga class. They live and work in the Mount. Kristin is an occupational therapist and has her own business the Yoga Collective teaching at May Street Scout Hall. Chris is a sports massage therapist, with a loyal following of clients made up of triathletes and multisport competitors.

Kristin on Chris

Chris and I turned up separately for the same yoga class. Chris asked me out for a coffee after class. We were married three months later.

Our love for yoga is in the forefront of our lives. We practice regularly and have a dedicated space in our home. I can still remember walking out of my first yoga class and feeling a complete state of bliss. Every class leaves me wanting more.

Chris is an incredible man. He has no ego. What I fell in love with was not only his big open heart, but also his positivity for life.

He makes me laugh. He has been my biggest support, allowing me to ground myself to teach what I love.

Chris and I lead simple and healthy vegetarian lifestyles. We share a deep love for the wellbeing of animals.

We have an incredible group of friends and love rustling up curry nights. Both our families live locally.

Any chance we get we head overseas travelling. Anything outdoors we are doing it. The Mount lifestyle is infectious.

Chris on Kristin

I had seen her around town and then found myself in a yoga class with her. The things I like about Kristin are her spirituality, her deep love for animals and the world, her beautiful green eyes, and her support and love towards all areas of my life.

Our relationship is based on similar beliefs. We share the same passion for yoga, art, exercise and an appreciation of the smaller things in life. We share amazement at a beautiful sunset or the invigoration after a long run together.

We love living in the Mount - surfing, running, mountainbike riding, home renovations, camping and spending time with our families. I'm teaching Kristin how to skateboard at the moment, which has been entertaining.

I got into yoga as a therapy for relieving back pain 13 years ago and from there it moved into being an integral part of my life.

It provides strength and flexibility for all my other sports as well as bringing calmness and internal peace.
