An array of performances as varied as Shakespeare, kapa haka, rock, song and dance will be showcased by Bay of Plenty youth at Baycourt tonight.
The Night is Young has been organised by Friends of Baycourt who have invited secondary schools within the Tauranga area to strut their stuff on
the big stage.
It's the fourth year the concert has been organised and it's an attempt to get young people enjoying Baycourt, says chairwoman Anna Finlayson-Smith.
"We wanted to provide an opportunity for young people to come and have fun on stage without the pressure of competition," she says.
This year all 10 secondary schools between Katikati and Te Puke are putting up acts with more than 200 performers taking to the stage in the two-and-a-half hour extravaganza of talent.
