The Bookbinder returns but this time the award-winning show will be performed in a more traditional theatre setting. Trick of the Light Theatre's, Bookbinder, is a tour-friendly show, which its makers have adapted to performing in strange places like pokey classroom corners.
The show returns to Tauranga on June 30. Co-director Hannah Smith says it's the same show as last year's, although it has "evolved''.
"We designed the show to be able to play in bookshops and theatres, and both have benefits. There is something magical about doing the show in an unusual space, but there is no denying that audiences in a theatre are often more comfortable."

The play is about the experience of reading a book and uses shadow-play, paper art, puppetry and music. They wanted to design a show where they could control the environment. It will appeal to audiences of all ages, but is best suited to children over 8 years.
