A morning tea at the French Country House in Pahoia was held for 60 local ladies who donned their best frocks for the occasion.
Owner Chloe Wright hosted the event and donated a portion of ticket sales to Tauranga Breast Cancer Support Services as part of Breast Cancer Action Month.
Chloe together with her daughter-in-law Jessica Wright (pictured) and French Country House chef Siobhan FitzGerald, rolled their sleeves up in the kitchen and laid on a spread which included lavender scones with rose-scented cream and chocolate and raspberry meringues.
Guests included breast cancer survivor Carolyn Kelliher and her lifelong friend, Jill Wyper. Ms Kelliher said she was keen to support events like this.
"Breast Cancer Support Services were there to support me when I needed them so now I am keen to help other people going through that journey," she said.
