The Delta Riggs

The Delta Riggs

The Delta Riggs will soon make their New Zealand stage debut in support of their third album Active Galactic.

Like a raw version of the Strokes or Kooks, the Delta Riggs ooze rock & roll attitude - check out the brilliant track Kids Are Alright - which should make for a cracking live show.

The groovy Gold Coast funk rockers, whose new single goes by the catchy title of Baddest Motherfucker in the Beehive, will play Wellington's San Fran, Otago University and an Auckland venue - dates to be confirmed.

Aldous Harding

She'll play Christchurch's Blue Smoke with support from Oscar Dowling on February 8, Wellington's San Fran with Oscar Dowling and Hera Lindsay Bird on February 9, Auckland's Hollywood Cinema with Bob Scott (The Bats) and Hera Lindsay Bird on February 10, and the same venue with Soccer Practise, Oscar Dowling and Hera Linday Bird on February 11.

Party is the follow up to Harding's self-titled debut.

Live favourites Elbow are set to release their seventh studio album. Little Fictions is out February 3. Two singles have already been released: Magnificent (She Says) and All Disco, the latter's name coming from a Frank Black line in an interview with Elbow singer Guy Garvey.

"He said something along the lines of 'you have punk rock, you have rock, you have blues, you have soul, it's all disco'," Garvey said.

Reid, who has been lauded in The Guardian, Mojo and Pitchfork, said of her new album: "This record is about being OK with who I am in the world, and who I want to be. Learning to live with the fact I'm a person who operates differently to others," admits Nadia. "I'm richer for the fact I am a musician. Without this way of being, I couldn't write songs."
