"It's got such a nice atmosphere here that we keep coming back."
Mrs Jeffries mentioned they missed coming down one year and the kids "complained like crazy".
"It's just such a nice place, the people are great and the facilities are very clean. [Max and Deborah] are quite strict but that's what we like because there are no loud kids keeping you awake at night and you can sleep-in in the morning."
The Jeffries love to holiday at Golden Grove and even convinced their friends to stay at the holiday park too. One family even booked out the adjacent cabin, a stone's throw away from where the Jeffries stay.
"It's close, we can shout out 'dinner's ready'," Mrs Jeffries joked.
In the 12 years they've been holidaying there, Golden Grove has grown and bloomed, thanks to the hard work of owners Max and Deborah Sullivan. The couple bought the holiday park almost 18 years ago. At the time it was run down and "nothing like it is today" they said.
"I think it was established around 1948 and the main accommodation was built in the 1960s," Mr Sullivan said.
"The basic accommodation was here but we've added everything else - the chalets and other accommodation units."
The Sullivans came from a dairy farming background - they bought and sold run-down farms - but decided to change their lifestyle to suit their family.
"We wanted something where we could continue to work from home and this was an investment in the land and it was good because we were able to be there for our [two] kids."
The holiday park stretches one hectare and includes a three-bedroom house and large accommodation block suitable for sports teams or large travelling groups.
"We're expecting the Invercargill Highland Pipe Band in March, they've booked out all the accommodation," Mrs Sullivan said. "They did that two years ago so it's slowly been creeping up on us but now it's almost here and that's really exciting."
The holiday park is nestled on Girven Rd and unless you knew it was there, you would probably miss it.
"It's only a short walk to Bayfair and an even shorter walk to the beach, but what the Sullivans really love about it is the family atmosphere they've created at their home.
"We're not at the base of the Mount but this really central to everything," Mr Sullivan said.
"We've worked together our whole married life and this is a great way to be together and meet people."
Mrs Sullivan added: "The thing about this place is everyone is equal out here and people can have quite different jobs and come from quite different backgrounds but you wouldn't know."
Guests that came back "year after year" was something she liked about the job. "They become your friends and that certainly makes the job a lot brighter."
