Local fashion labels Repertoire and Oyl have joined forces to support Tauranga's most unique fashion event.
Tarnished Frocks and Divas will be held at Mills Reef Winery in September.
Both labels will showcase their designs in this year's event and will hold a fundraising fashion show at the winery under the Winter
Enchantment theme tomorrow.
Tarnished Frocks and Divas is a biennial fashion show which aims to celebrate and empower women over 40.
Repertoire head director Lee Kleiman said that philosophy fit perfectly with Repertoire.
"The positive message that women are powerful, beautiful and fabulous in the second stage of life is exactly in tune with the Repertoire philosophy. There seems to be a global movement to appreciate older women. Fashion labels are using iconic women as models of strength, poise and grace."
The winter collection features fur, leather, suede, lace and feathers.
* The show will be held at 6pm and 8pm tomorrow. The first show is sold out, but tickets are available for the 8pm show. Tickets are $30 and available from Creative Tauranga and Repertoire in Mount Maunganui and Tauranga.
