A bumper selection for the final concert of the year at Katikati Folk Club, with not one but three visiting acts performing.

Contemporary English folk singer, Kirsty Bromley draws upon a wide range of traditional music, disarming audiences with the uncanny and beautiful knack of drawing attention to the song rather than the messenger.

Kirsty has performed at folk festivals in the UK and abroad and is currently touring New Zealand with her debut album, Time Ashore, which features original songs, as well as carefully curated folk gems.

Widely respected Bay of Plenty musicians and songwriters, Derek Jacombs (Kokomo) and Mike Garner (Mike Garner Band) have joined forces for an informal journey down the backroads of old blues, folk and country, exploring the sounds now called Americana.

They'll be breaking out a host of instruments - resonator guitars, banjos, mandolins - for an eclectic musical trip that stretches from Bessie Smith ballads to their own songs.

Auckland band, Graveyard Shift will be the opening act on the night.

Tickets at the door, adults $20, members $15, school children free. Bar available and a free cuppa and biscuits served at half time. Great music and a friendly venue.
