This weekend sees the Katikati Twilight concerts continue with Kokomo performing on Saturday night.

The blues 'n' roots band celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2016 and is renowned for dynamic live shows and distinctive songwriting, as well as its unique harmonica-trumpet horn section.

Performing at the country's major rock, blues, jazz and folk festivals, Kokomo will be a must-see this weekend. Supporting act Sarah Spicer will open the second Twilight concert, and the X-Factor competitor has recently completed a 20-show blues and rock tour of the country.

The final concert in the summer series is on February 13 and will headline Anna Hawkins, at the Haiku Reserve. Anna has stacked up performances all over the country and has three albums to her credit. This will be an inspirational evening with music spanning the genres of classical, theatre, pop and folk.

Joining her on stage will be her singer/songwriter sister Lisa Hawkins. Theirs will be a spine-tingling duet making for an elegant evening, says organiser Jenni Wilson.

The Twilight concerts have been a popular Katikati drawcard for 20 years and are run by a volunteer committee who donate proceeds to the community.

"Bring your friends and family, pack a picnic and come on down to the beautiful Haiku Reserve for some great family entertainment," says Wilson.
