A monster mash up of epic proportions is taking shape at Westside Theatre.
The inside of the theatre has been transformed into a spooky, haunted house in readiness for the macabre musical A Very Scary Christmas. Decorated with cobwebs rather than candy canes, this isn't a tale of Yuletide joy.Ghastly, ghostly goings on provide the backdrop to performances of a whole host of well-known spooky songs from different eras.
A Very Scary Christmas was first performed in Hamilton at Riverlea Theatre and the director of that production, Daniel Pepperell is also at the helm for the Tauranga Musical Theatre's production.
The doors of the morbid manor creak open for the first time on Friday with performances each Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday until December 3.
