New World and Pak'n Save supermarkets are offering Tauranga residents a free blood pressure check on Saturday, May 12.
The checks are available at New World Brookfield, New World Gate Pa, New World Mount Maunganui and Pak'n Save Tauranga, and are part of the Stroke Foundation's national Blood Pressure Awarenesscampaign, aimed at lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of stroke.
Most sites will offer the free blood pressure tests between 10am and 2pm, but may operate for longer. For more information, please check in store at participating supermarkets
