This is the advice from organisers of the Bay's new food and wine festival, Flavours in the Bay, as tickets sell quickly.
The Bay of Plenty Times-organised event is at Blake Park, Mount Maunganui, tomorrow from midday to 6pm - and is proving popular.
Bay of PlentyTimes marketing manager Samantha Dowling said there were only "a few hundred" tickets left and she urged people to be quick to avoid being disappointed. "Sales have really picked up in the last week," she said.
The event will have food and wine stalls from leading vineyards and restaurants, and entertainment. Four local bands - Five O'Clock Shadow, Sharmin, The Deeds and Hurricane Tilly - will be playing. There will also be free bouncy castles, face painting and three $2 fun slides for children.
Festival-goers also have the chance to participate in two competitions - a fashion contest with Augustine International vouchers worth $1600 as prizes and a recipe contest in which the winner's fabulous food will feature in Nourish magazine.
