The Tauranga Film Society has just launched its 10th season of films, screening at the Rialto Cinema every second Wednesday to November.
The season consists of 17 films covering a broad range that has become the hallmark of the Tauranga Film Society.
Films range from Taiwanese and Japanese classics fromthe 1980s and 1990s to current French, Spanish and Italian cinema. Two British documentaries are also on offer, as well as a number of New Zealand films.
The season finishes with two films that are widely regarded as the best films to be made in the GDR (East Germany).
Entry to the films is only open to members. Full membership costs $90 ($80 for seniors). A three films for $30 membership is also available. Membership runs for 12 months from the time of joining.
