The venue for the Outdoor Comedy Store has been moved to TECT Arena because of Thursday's weather forecast.
Event promoter Louise Fox said it was important to those behind it that the comedian show still goes ahead on Thursday night.
"After the wet summer with a number of event cancellationsincluding New Years and Baypark Fireworks, plus the continuing misery of the Rena, we feel the people of the Bay need a laugh now more than ever. We aren't going to let the rain stop this awesome night of comedy from going ahead," she said.
Irish comedy legend, Ed Byrne has arrived in the country ahead of the show.
The show will also feature USA cowboy star Wilson Dixon and New Zealand favourites Ben Hurley and Simon McKinney wanting.
"These are massive stars wanting to make sure the Bay doesn't have another cancelled gig. They just want to give everyone a good time. And the guys that are performing are at the top of their game. It's a perfect night out to get away from the weather and get a bit of relief from some of the unfortunate incidents that have happened in the area lately. People in the Bay deserve a laugh."
The audience can bring their beachchairs or blankets and food will be on sale, including platters and tasty treats.
Tickets are available from Ticket Master, the Bayfair Information Kiosk and gate sales on the night.
