CAMP DAVID - The White House announced today that a nine-day-old Middle East peace summit had ended without a deal.
"The summit has come to a conclusion without an agreement," White House spokesman Joe Lockhart told reporters.
The statement came after US President Bill Clinton ended talks with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
Mr Lockhart said the President would be returning to the White House and would make a full statement.
