If you have ever worried about someone snatching your bag from the airport luggage carousel, this is going to do nothing to reassure you.

Victorian police are looking for a woman they believe stole a large number of suitcases from the terminal four carousel at Melbourne's Tullamarine airport.

Police believe the woman stole the bags about 3pm on November 20 last year. They have released an image of the blonde woman leaving the airport with the sizeable loot.

Police allege the woman later robbed the home of the bag's owner.

In a bizarre twist, police allege the woman then went to the home of the bag's owner, in Altona Meadows in southwest Melbourne, and stole electrical goods, jewellery and cash.
