"Police are still at the scene carrying out investigations,'' a police spokesman told AAP on Sunday night.
"There are still some issues regarding access and that's hampering efforts.''
NSW Nurses Association general secretary, Brett Holmes, yesterday said the nursing profession was "deeply shocked'' one of its own had been charged over the fire.
"The profession of nursing is deeply shocked that one of our own has been charged with murder in relation to this tragedy,'' Mr Holmes said in a statement.
NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell announced he had ordered a report on police checks for nursing home staff and nursing home building structures to be given to him today.
"I've asked for a full report not only on checks on staff but also the physical structure of nursing homes and retirement villages across the state,'' Mr O'Farrell said.
Three of the residents who died after Friday's fire have been named as Alma Smith, 73, Lola Bennett, 86, and Ella Wood, 97.
