US investigators searching for a missing Tennessee 20-year-old nursing student say they have discovered a clue that could lead them to her, according to a report.
"We did find an additional piece of evidence that we may link to Holly Bobo", said Kristin Helm of Tennessee's Bureau of Investigation.
However, authorities were not giving anything away as to the nature of the discovery.
The new clue was found along the road in the northern part of Decatur County.
Around 800 volunteers reported to help in the weekend's searches.
The only item found that's been confirmed to be Holly's is her white lunch bag. That was found a few days after she was seen being led away from her house by a man in camouflage.
While police initially believed an abductor dragged Bobo, 20, away as she left for school last Wednesday, investigators now suspect it was a local who led Bobo into the woods near her home.
Authorities have refused to rule out anyone in the community of Parsons, about 160km northeast of Memphis, as a potential suspect.
