All nine people on board a plane that has come down in South Australia's far north are safe and well, authorities say.
The aircraft came down about 25km southeast of Marree on Sunday morning, police said.
AusSAR - the national search and rescue organisation that monitors distress beacons - later told police there were nine people on board the plane and all were safe and well.
"The passengers are now being conveyed to Maree," police said in a statement.
Police were unable to confirm the circumstances that brought down the plane - whether it was an emergency landing or other event.
"We don't have any more details at this stage," a police spokeswoman said.
Police earlier said another local aircraft was believed to have located the downed plane.
