The hunt is on for the country's favourite place to ride a bike.
New Zealand's Favourite Places to Ride competition opened this week and people are being asked to nominate their favourite rides.
The NZ Transport Agency competition is in its fourth year and this year includes new categories.
National Cycling Manager Dougal List said 56 per cent of urban adult New Zealanders ride a bike on a regular basis.
"This year we are looking forward to discovering where they enjoy riding their bikes the most," he said.
