Children who found lucky painted rocks got to try all sorts of things on Sunday afternoon.
Whanganui fire, ambulance and police had each hidden six special painted rocks around town. Erina Cresswell painted rocks for the fire and police services, and Scott Morris painted them for the ambulance service.
Children who found fire and ambulance rocks could claim prize packs and all were invited to bring their families for a fun afternoon at the fire station.
The idea was to meet fire, ambulance and police staff and see them in operation. There's usually something scary going on when children get to see them.
