Felt enthusiasts from around Whanganui came to create hats, mittens and cushions on Monday.
The workshop was one of three run by Karen Workman.
"We had five people here today. At the end of the day they didn't want to leave," says Karen.
"It's great to see so much interest, I love passing on the skills to other people." The workshop was such a success the group has decided to start a felting group to meet every month.
Felting is one of the oldest forms of fibre craft, but has seen in decline in modern times.
