A second exhibition of corrugated-iron sculpture is on display at a Wanganui gallery.
Jeff Thomson's Ripple Iron exhibition will be showing at the WHMilbank Gallery, in Bell St, until August 31.
The Auckland-based sculptor is renowned for his quirky corrugated-iron creations, which teeter on the border of artwork and tradework.
Gallery owner Bill Milbank said Ripple Iron was a collection of Mr Thomson's recent works, including a three-piece work called Ladder Trilogy.
This piece was runner-up in the Fieldays No8 Wire National Art Award at the Waikato Art Museum recently - with all works required to be made of No8 wire.
"Ladder Trilogy is one of Jeff's iconic works," Mr Milbank said.
"He made it by wrapping wire around ladders, burning out the ladders, then putting steel through it and running it over with a tractor to give it that corrugated look."
Other works continue familiar themes in Mr Thomson's work, including kete made of brightly coloured corrugated iron.
Mr Thomson also has works on display at the Sarjeant Gallery.
"His pieces at the Sarjeant Gallery aren't for sale, so this exhibition [at the Milbank Gallery] is an opportunity for him to sell his work here in Wanganui," Mr Milbank said.
