HELIUM balloons were flying around Henley Men's Shed as participants in the Masterton Safe and Healthy Community Council holiday programme put their flying machines to the test.
The programme saw children building "flying machines" and groups opted to build hot air balloons, with the help of the Men's Shed.
Some groups accidently let go of their balloons before everybody was ready to test them.
The original test run was meant to be held on Thursday, but was moved to yesterday as the weather was expected to deteriorate during the week.
Organiser Sandy Ryan said more than 200 kids took part in the week-long programme being offered, and was aimed at 5 to 13-year-olds.
