Timaru police have arrested two men over the burglary of a South Canterbury farm which was under quarantine because of the Mycoplasma Bovis outbreak.
A significant amount of equipment was taken from the Morven property, including farm bikes, quad bikes, chainsaws, a ride-on mower and tools.
Some of the property was recovered from Timaru, Geraldine and Pleasant Point.
The two men are aged 30 and 32.
One is appearing in the Timaru District Court today.
The Ministry for Primary Industries said the property had been de-stocked and was going through cleaning and disinfection.
The stolen goods had been cleaned and disinfected so there was no risk from them being taken off the property.
