The Taranaki Saloon Championship ran on Saturday night along with Memorial Night for Stockcars, Superstocks and Saloons.
Stockcar trophies included the Wayne Trott Memorial for first year stockcar drivers. This year had 11 first year drivers hit the track for this memorial with a format of "winner takes all". Anton Scherrer driving Marcus Russ' (55s) machine took the win from Dale Michielsen (85s) in 2nd and James Fawkner (65s) finishing in 3rd.
The Warren Lowry Memorial was won by Mitch Vickery (26s). This award is chosen by the Lowry family and awarded to the person who stands out as being a menace on the track, with many drivers each season trying their hardest to get the trophy.
The Michael Walker Memorial saw drivers battle their way through the pack racing to win or place to gather points. Josh Walsh (35s) was the overall winner of the Michael Walker Memorial with a total of 77 points, followed by Todd Duthie (21s) in 2nd on 74 points and Monty Good (56s) in 3rd with 70 points. Monty won this Memorial last season and it was a great effort by him to be back on the podium again.
Superstocks also had a memorial night with the Gary and John Adamson Memorials and the Jason King Memorial.
